Circa 1920-1940 A pair of gilded brass candlesticks measuring 45cm in height and approximately 30cm across with the original glass drops.
They have two sections of moulded glass covering the central columns and one has a slight bit of restoration at the rim but this is covered by the brass fitting and isn’t visible. There are three layers of glass drops and we replaced some of the brass pins to ensure the drops stay safely in position. The drops are original and with close inspection some are very slightly different in shape but the quality of the glass is good.
The candlesticks could be converted into electricity by a good electrician are there are signs someone may have done this years ago – see last two photos.
There is some age related darkening of the gilding around the candle cups to be expected with items of this age, and we have taken this into account with the price. We prefer not to over restore our items as many customers prefer us to leave well alone and we haven’t attempted to lighten the gilding.
Postage and packing within the UK mainland only is included in the price and for remote parts or abroad please contact us for a delivery quote.
