Dating from around 1920 this superbly made bronze desk/gift item is heavy and in very good condition and it weighs 1.4kgs.
It measures 15cm in height and is approximately 16cm in diameter, and it has a four blade propeller in the centre. In the base are the words: With Compliments – then Cape Town – and below Gearings Ltd.
It is likely to be connected to Harry Charles Gearing who was born in Southampton in 1878 and became the managing director of Gearings Ltd in South Africa and later the Chairman.
It makes a fine paperweight or gift for a collector of engineering items.
Postage and packing for the UK mainland only is included in the price and for remote areas or abroad please contact us for a delivery quote.
