Circa 1900-1920 this original gas light still has the original vaseline glass shades in good condition.
It measures 90cm in length from the hook at the top to the very bottom of the shades, and it is approximately 60cm in width. The pair of shades are 10cm in length and the open end is approximately 10cm in diameter.
It is pure Art Nouveau in design with some lovely details, and the original gas taps on either side have had to be soldered into position to prevent damage to the electric cable. It is in good condition with no damage or repair anywhere and works well, the shades giving a soft, diffused light.
The light has been converted into electric but it will need an up to date PAT test before installation to comply with UK regulations and we are unable to provide this as our electricians are closed at present. A good electrician could shorten the light if needed.
Postage and packing within the UK mainland only is included in the price and for remote areas or abroad, please contact us for a delivery quote. Thank you.
