A FOUR TIER GLASS DROP CEILING LIGHT

This four tier crystal drop light has the original ceiling fittings attached to the top frame, and it has recently been rewired for the UK market.
The crystal drops are all original, and of very high quality glass,so they make a lovely ‘tinkling’ sound when moved. The gilded brass frame has leaves holding a crystal drop.
The light itself measures 33cm in length (62cm if you include the brass ceiling attachment) and approx 32cm in width.
We date this as early 20thC; between 1910-1940, and it can be viewed in the Berkshire or Surrey area.

Description

Circa 1910-1930 a four tier crystal glass drop ceiling light in very good condition.

The light including the original brass pole is 62cm in length; without the pole it is 33cm long and approximately 32cm wide.

The electric cable runs through the brass pole which has a hook at the top to attach to a ceiling fitting, but a good electrician could adjust the length of the pole, or possibly remove it.

The crystal glass drops are original and in very good condition, and the tiers form an open ‘bag’ shape around the single standard lightbulb.

It was rewired by the previous owner and must have an up to date PAT test before installation to comply with UK regulations.
