A pair of brass fire dogs dating from around the early part of the 20th Century between the Victorian and Arts and Crafts period.
They are solid brass, are a good weight, and have large brass round tops with a decorative front and splayed feet.
They measure 32cm in height at the very tallest part; 14cm at the widest part with 18.5cm of bar to the back feet. The roundels at the front are approximately 9.5cm in diameter.
The fire dogs were gilded at some stage and the round fronts have marks where the fire tools obviously knocked against them, the price reflects this.
